Mini-grants Available for Theatre Arts Endorsement Candidates
The U.S. Bancorp Foundation has awarded the Antioch Seattle Center for Programs in Education program a $5,000 grant to help bring theatre arts into today's K-12 classrooms. Antioch offers $500 mini-grants to endorsement candidates toward the cost of props, costumes and other equipment associated with these K-12 theatrical productions. Fees and Tuition

Tuition is payable each quarter, but must be paid before beginning each class.

  • Application fee: $30 nonrefundable
  • Credits: $450/credit
  • Endorsement processing fee: $15 made out to OSPI to accompany Antioch's request that the Theatre Arts Endorsement be added to your certificate.

Earning the Endorsement

Candidates for the Theatre Arts Endorsement are evaluated in each course on the basis of standards established by Antioch University Seattle and its instructors and the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. At the end of each course, participants receive a pass/not pass grade and a narrative assessment reflecting their performance. At the end of the program, each student presents for review a portfolio of coursework and field experience that demonstrates achievement of the required competencies. Students must also pass the Praxis II content exam to receive the Theatre Arts Endorsement.

Refunds
Students who withdraw from a course are refunded tuition, in accordance with the university's refund policy outlined in tuition payment information.
