On Interest Area

"I like to work collaboratively with students to help them fuel their passions through research and ongoing projects. Students have been presenting their research at the Amercian Art Therapy Association conference for the last seven years. I also collaborated with students to complete a documentary on Japanese Americans interned during World War II, which won the Pearlie Robison Award. In personal interviews, we asked them to draw images based on their memories of the camps. We were struck that the images were essentially identical."

On Teaching at Antioch

"The opportunity to work within my two specializations of art therapy and couple and family therapy with a wonderful group of motivated, creative students is truly exciting. The collaborative learning process here at Antioch University Seattle is unique and energizing."
