Community Memberships & AffiliationsAntioch University’s mission of community engagement and leadership for positive social change is reflected in the many business and service organization memberships held by faculty and staff. Each academic center encourages students to become involved in their community through internships, student-teaching or other community-based projects. President Toni Murdock recently served as the chair of the Youth and Schools Committee for the Rotary Club of Seattle, which provides broad-based support to enhance the education and well being of all youth in the community. She was recognized by Women of Color Empowered in May 2004. Murdock, as a board member, awarded more than 100 higher education scholarships to Seattle high school graduates on behalf of Washington Campus Compact.
