A nonprofit organization offering counseling and a referral telephone hotline, along with the region's most extensive database of community organizations and services. Good for finding help and for volunteer opportunities.

Country Doctor Community Health Centers
Country Doctor Community Health Centers provide high-quality, caring, culturally appropriate primary health care that addresses the needs of people regardless of their ability to pay (people with no insurance are always welcome). The Health Centers maintains two clinic sites, Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center (Central District) and Country Doctor Community Clinic (Capitol Hill).

One of the city's two mainstream newspapers. Includes regular national news updates, weather and local articles.

A guide for regional arts and happenings. Known in particular for its "best of" issues (lists are searchable on the website, in addition to a directory of charitable events).

Eat The State!
Seattle's unabashedly anti-authoritarian weekly newspaper. Publishes inside stories on local and international politics, as well as an Activist Calendar.

KBCS
KBCS radio station of Bellevue Community College features world music and grassroots-oriented news.

KUOW
Local NPR radio station. Broadcasts local and regional information via live streaming, archives and RSS feeds.

Seattle indymedia Center
Seattle indymedia Center provides an alternative to the mainstream news, giving a "Peace & Justice Calendar" for our area and updating you on the breaking social justice stories of the day.

Seattle Art Museum
Offers both contemporary and traditional exhibitions, with links to the Seattle Asian Art Museum.

Frye Art Museum
Through its exhibitions, collections and programs, the Frye engages audiences, challenges perceptions and encourages dialogue about representational art in all its complexities, past and present. Admission to the museum is always free to the public.

Tacoma Art Museum

Museum of Glass
